A visit to the Carolina Basketball Museum Chapel Hill NC is sure to excite and educate visitors of all ages. It features the first and only triple overtime championship game in NCAA history, and was broadcasted to five stations in North Carolina. This championship game helped ignite the basketball craze in North Carolina. The Tar Heels won the championship game in triple overtime, which was the only time that the game went to overtime. If you're hungry, you can grab something to eat at Linda's. This popular local restaurant is featured in the museum's snacks and quick bites menu. It's also a place where you can see the NCAA fire jumping competition.


While the museum's exhibits are not limited to the sport, it is filled with fascinating stories of athletes and teams that made a mark on the world. North Carolina is a ACC school, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the home of Michael Jordan. Visitors can see his collegiate career at UNC, as well as his NBA career. During his time with the NBA, he also won over a thousand games, and he has a special display in the museum to commemorate his legacy.
