Have you seen our home page yet? Prairie Ridge Ecostation is a great place for families to explore nature. Located at 1671 Gold Star Dr, Raleigh, NC 27607. If you're in the Raleigh area, you can take the kids there on a family adventure. The nature center offers a variety of different activities that will keep your children busy. You can also sign up for one of the programs offered by the ecostation. You'll be able to learn more about local ecosystems and how they use energy. It's the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon or get some exercise.

The North Carolina Museum of Science's Prairie Ridge Ecostation is a great place to learn about nature. The outdoor classroom offers hands-on experiences for kids and features 45 acres of Piedmont prairie, ponds, and a stream. There are sustainable building features and educational programs to help you discover more about the region's natural resources. The center also is designed to help local wildlife. You won't find a better place for wildlife education in the Raleigh area.

 

Another family-friendly place to visit in Raleigh is the Nature PlaySpace. This 40-acre park is near the North Carolina Museum of Art and is one of the best places to go for an outdoor adventure in Raleigh. The NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Whiteville is part of the NC Science Museums Section. The Ecostation is a 45-acre field station that furthers the Museum's mission by promoting environmental education and renewable energy resources. You'll report to the head of the Prairie Ridge Ecostation and coordinate with staff from the Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education departments. You'll have a flexible schedule, working from Tuesday to Saturday and working one day to four in the afternoon.
